A resistor is both the simplest and most useful electronic component. It is usually a two terminal device (has two pins) that is able to convert a voltage into a current. It does this by resisting the passage of electricity according to ohms law Current=Voltage/Resistance or I=V/R I=Current in Amps V=Voltage in Volts R=Resistance in Ohms (%F122).
